CIS FAQs  (frequently asked questions)

Q:  How does the feedback interface work?  How do I get the feedback interface to do _____ ?
A:  On the CIS control panel, click on Interface | Description
Or, left-click on the interface's name. (in blue)
If you feel the interface description is unclear or incomplete, please submit feedback by clicking on Help.

Q:  Does the CIS require a high-end computer?
A:  Not necessarily.  However, the CIS does require a computer capable of playing 3D games.
Also, the biofeedback system being used along with the CIS may have high-end requirements.
A computer that exceeds the minimum requirements of the biofeedback system's needs is required.

Q:  Are Intel graphics chips (GPUs) good for 3D games?
A:  No.  Though *some* may adequately work.
Intel GPUs have a long history of poor support for 3D graphics, and in winter 2009 Intel indefinitely shelved
its plans to make a mainstream 3D GPU.  More info here.

Q:  Which makes the better GPUs (graphics chips) - nVidia or AMD?
A:  Both make excellent GPUs.  Even their low-end GPUs will run the CIS and 3D games.
nVidia GPUs have native support for 3D glasses, physics calculations, and CUDA.

Q:  Is there any way to update a laptop's GPU?
A:  No.  And unfortunately, many laptops only have an Intel GPU.
If you use a laptop, BE SURE IT HAS A GOOD 3D GRAPHICS CHIP.
