What kind of graphics card or graphics chip should I have to support 3D graphics?
Both nVidia or AMD make quality GPUs for 3D graphics applications.
Most Intel graphics chips provide minimal support for 3D graphics applications.  In the past, users requiring 3D graphics historically represented only a small fraction of PC users, Intel did not consider them representative of mainstream consumers by Intel’s standards. CIS suites have free trial usage. Use the free trial usage to be sure they run well on the computer you intend to use them on.

nVidia chips are specifically-designed for 3D graphics.  nVidia drivers are easy to find and install.  The drivers can be downloaded from a card manufacturer’s website, or from the nVidia website (regardless of who manufactured the card).  A mid-level nVidia graphics card is more than adequate to run the CIS.  nVidia supports special things such as VR headsets.

AMD has plenty of mid-range to top-notch cards and chips.  Though many lack native support for some VR headsets.

Intel  In many cases, drivers for Intel graphics chips will try to use the CPU to emulate 3D functions that are supposed to be handled directly by graphics hardware.  This can have serious adverse effects on performance, as the computer’s CPU can easily get overloaded by the graphic chip’s driver offloading calculations that are intended to be handled by a dedicated graphics chip – not a CPU.  It can cause major drops in performance, erratic errors, anomalies, and crashes.

Where did the CIS Control Panel go?  I can’t access it, but the feedback window is open and waiting and I can see the CIS Suite running on the Windows taskbar.
Sometimes the windows to control the CIS Suites are positioned off of the viewable area, particularly after changing desktop resolutions or monitor layout.  The positions of the CIS windows and panels can be reset to the top left of the primary screen.

Solution:
1)  Left-click on the CIS suite’s icon by the clock in the system tray.
2)  Select  Help  |  Reset CIS windows positions
